The Garmin Astro 430 with T5 mini combo is a new GPS and GLONASS dog tracking system which is designed for smaller working dogs and hunting dogs from 7kg. The Australia version Astro 430 dog tracker preloaded with AU and NZ Topo lite map. This new Astro 430 handheld can track up to 20 dogs at a range of up to 7km. The dog position update rate also been shorten to 2.5 second which is twice as fast as its predecessor (Garmin Astro 320). The Astro 430 also has Hunt Metrics dog performance data to help analyse your dog's tracking patterns and behaviours. You can review all the data from your handheld.

The Astro 430 is compatible with the Garmin Drivetrack 71 LMT Car navigation device and Instinct, Fenix 3, 5 (plus) multisport watch. The Drivetrack 71 LMT works as a "7 inch Big Screen" for the Astro 430/T5 dog tracking system while in the car. It receives location data information from the Astro 430 via bluetooth and display dog's speed, location, direction heading on reloaded AU/NZ Topo lite maps. The Fenix, Instinct watch are the portable solution for the Astro 430/T5. When the watch is connected to the Astro 430, it will show the dogs' name, direction of heading and distance from you. So you can free your handheld of holding a big handheld while tracking the dog.
